Aircare International Streamlines Medical Kit Refurbishment Process for Emergency Telemedicine Subscribers

Updated process reduces shipping requirements and improves turnaround times for medical kit refurbishment

TACOMA, WA, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Aircare International, a provider of emergency procedures training, crew staffing, and emergency telemedicine services for business aviation, is implementing a new medical kit refurbishment process designed to improve efficiency and simplify ongoing kit maintenance for Emergency Telemedicine subscribers.

Under the previous process, a medical kit refurbishment could require up to four separate shipments. A subscriber would send their existing kit to Aircare for service, while Aircare provided a loaner kit for use during the refurbishment. Once service was complete, the original kit would be returned to the subscriber, who would then ship the loaner kit back to Aircare.

The new process significantly reduces the number of steps required. Aircare will maintain refurbished medical kits in-house, allowing a serviced, ready-to-use kit to be sent to the subscriber as part of the exchange. The subscriber can then return their existing kit to Aircare, where it will be refurbished and prepared for future use.

By maintaining refurbished kits in-house, Aircare can reduce shipping requirements, provide faster and more consistent turnaround times, and minimize the administrative coordination required from flight departments. Loaner kits will also remain available when needed to help ensure subscribers maintain access to appropriate medical equipment.

“Medical kit maintenance is an important component of a flight department’s emergency preparedness program,” said Karl Kamps, Vice President of Operations for Aircare Crew Staffing and Emergency Telemedicine. “By streamlining the refurbishment process, we can reduce unnecessary shipping and coordination while providing a more efficient and consistent experience for our subscribers.”

The updated refurbishment process complements the benefits already available through Aircare’s Emergency Telemedicine subscription. These include simplified annual billing and 24/7/365 access to emergency support, helping flight departments more efficiently manage their ongoing medical preparedness requirements.

Medical Kit Refurbishment is now available to all active Emergency Telemedicine subscribers. For more information about Aircare International, visit www.aircareinternational.com.
