ALEXANDRIA, VA, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Systems Planning & Analysis (SPA), a leading global, independent provider of data-driven analytical insights for critical national security programs and defense priorities, is advancing its analytical capabilities through the Advanced Analytics Lab (AAL), a center of excellence that brings SPA experts, analytical methods, and technologies together to address complex mission challenges.

The AAL builds on SPA’s continued investment in its people, technology, and infrastructure. In September 2025, SPA announced a significant expansion of its Northern Virginia operations, including the purchase and planned renovation of its 239,000-square-foot Alexandria headquarters and investments in technology and collaborative workspaces.

At SPA’s Alexandria headquarters, the 14,400-square-foot AAL provides a secure environment for SPA teams working across mission engineering, operations analysis, and strategic advisory efforts. Analysts use the lab daily to integrate complex data, models, and technologies with the deep domain expertise that underpins SPA’s work across defense and national security.

SPA teams use the AAL across defense and national security missions from seabed to space, including cross-domain kinetic, non-kinetic, and cyber warfare assessments. This work includes analysis supporting layered homeland defense and other joint mission priorities.

In addition to a broad portfolio of industry- and government-owned analytic tools, the lab also provides an environment for SPA teams to apply advanced technologies such as SPA GCAM®, SPA ArcherEye™, and SPA AthenaSight™ alongside other modeling, simulation, and analytical tools. These capabilities enable teams to explore complex mission problems, evaluate courses of action, and develop solutions tailored to clients’ toughest challenges.
