Dr. Laura Carstensen, Dr. Eric Verdin, Dr. Robert Waldinger, and Dr. Dean Ornish headline Attilio’s inaugural Longevity Event, October 29 and 30, the first longevity event to adhere to Conflict-Free Standards(TM).
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Attilio will hold its inaugural event October 29 and 30, 2026, at Stanford University and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, bringing many of the world’s leading longevity scientists together for a conflict-free program built entirely around the science, with no sponsors.
The event is co-chaired by Dr. Laura Carstensen, founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, and Dr. Eric Verdin, President and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and designer of the Dr. Verdin Baseline Assessment(TM), Attilio’s host institutions.
They are joined by Dr. Robert Waldinger, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development, the longest running scientific study of adult life, and Dr. Dean Ornish, widely known as the father of lifestyle medicine and founder and president of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute and clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
The two day program is built as a small, immersive gathering rather than a conference, with collaborative dialogue between attendees and the headliners in place of a lecture hall audience.
The full agenda features additional leading scientists and clinicians. Dr. David Rehkopf, current director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, and Dr. Thomas Rando, the center’s co-founder and current director of the Broad Stem Cell Research Center at UCLA, join Verdin on the biology of aging. Dr. Nathan Price, Co-Director of the Center for Human Healthspan at the Buck Institute and a systems biology researcher focused on personalized wellness, and Dr. Mike Stone, founder of a precision medicine practice and former Harvard Medical School faculty, will speak on turning biomarker data into daily habits. Michele Miller joins Verdin for a session on the Dr. Verdin Baseline Assessment(TM).
Additional speakers include Dr. Michael Breus, known publicly as The Sleep Doctor, and Dr. Sahil Chopra, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Empower Sleep, on sleep and longevity, and Manu Sharma, Founder and CEO of Labelbox and Chief Technology Architect at Attilio, on AI in longevity. Ken Stern, founder of the Longevity Project and host of the Century Lives podcast from the Stanford Center on Longevity, will emcee both days.
Attilio Mission: Democratize access to +100Year Quality Lifespan, to care that has, until now, been reserved for the 1%.
“Attilio exists to democratize and demonetize access to care that used to be reserved for a small number of people,” said Paul A. Pagnato, CEO & Founder of Attilio. “This event puts the same science in front of everyone in the room, regardless of what they could otherwise afford.”
