Glenview Chamber of Commerce honors longtime dental practice with cover feature in Glenview Living Magazine

GLENVIEW, Ill. – Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals, a family-owned dental practice serving the North Shore community for more than 60 years, has been named Business of the Year by the Glenview Chamber of Commerce. The practice was also featured on the cover of Glenview Living Magazine’s January 2025 issue in connection with the award.

The Glenview Chamber of Commerce presented the honor at its Business After Hours and Awards event in January 2025 at the Renaissance Chicago Glenview Hotel Suites. The Chamber selected Nolan & Freund from several nominations, citing the practice’s deep community roots and consistent involvement in local organizations.

Owners Dr. Mike Nolan and Dr. Chad Freund are both Glenview residents who have built the practice around long-term patient relationships and community service. Dr. Nolan, a second-generation Glenview dentist, joined his father, Dr. Jerry Nolan, after graduating from Loyola University School of Dentistry. Dr. Freund joined the practice in 2005 after earning his DDS from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry at Chicago.

Outside the office, both doctors volunteer with the Illinois State Dental Society’s Mission of Mercy and Dental Access Days. Dr. Nolan has traveled to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico on dental mission trips for nearly 20 years. The practice also helps organize the Glenview Park Foundation’s Firecracker Golf Outing and supports the League of Very Ordinary Gentlemen, which provides scholarships and sports equipment to local families in need.

“This practice has always been about the people who walk through our doors and the neighbors we see at the grocery store,” said Dr. Mike Nolan, DDS, co-owner of Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals. “When the Chamber recognized us, it reminded us that the relationships we’ve built over 60 years matter just as much as the dentistry.”
